New Superintendent Announcement

On Monday evening, January 29 the Globe Unified School District Governing Board announced its selection of Dr. Christa DalMolin East as its next Superintendent. The Governing Board contracted with Arizona School Administrators to conduct a search that garnered 12 applicants. In a meeting on January 18 the Board selected 3 candidates: Mr. Mark Gorman of Wickenburg Arizona, Dr. Joseph Farnsworth of San Antonio Texas and Dr. Christa DalMolin East of Globe Arizona to be interviewed, tour the District and participate in a public forum on January 29. The Board met in Executive Session beginning at 6:07 P.M. and after 1 ½ hours the Board convened to regular session and unanimously selected Dr. Christa DalMolin East as their choice for Superintendent and authorized Board President to begin contract negotiations with Dr. DalMolin East.

Dr. Christa DalMolin East has served as a Human Resources Manager, Deputy Superintendent and a teacher in various school districts and has worked in the private sector. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona, Masters Degree from the University of Arizona and her Doctorate from the American College of Education. Dr. DalMolin East is a graduate of Globe High School and becomes the first GHS graduate to serve as Superintendent as well as becoming the first female Superintendent of Globe Unified School District.

Dr. DalMolin East lives in Globe Arizona with her husband Will and their 4 children. She is from a family with long standing roots in the Globe-Miami area including a brother that currently serves on the Governing Board. Governing Board President Jacque Sanders is excited for the future of the district and states “Dr. DalMolin East has worked for our district for the last 8 ½ years showing her commitment, leadership abilities, care for staff, students and community as well as her desire to move the district forward with a focus on success for all students. We believe that she is the best choice to lead our district and are thrilled to hire a qualified alumna as the next Superintendent.”
