When you read this email from Dr. Dalmolin-East, did you think…What is a 403(b)? 

OR

What benefits and potential downsides come with investing in a 403b?

What companies and plans are offered to GUSD employees? Are they basically all the same or very different?

OR EVEN

How can making regular contributions to the right 403b plan help provide tax benefits NOW and potentially tax-free benefits LATER to supplement any state retirement I receive? (Think 403(b) rollover to a Traditional IRA and then converted to a ROTH IRA)

You can watch a YouTube video or two but if you still have some questions and want to discuss 403b plans in general, the GUSD business office will hold a brief informational dialogue session to try and help district staff answer questions so they better understand their options/choices when it comes to this retirement vehicle.  We will schedule this online after spring break and on a day when no other trainings have been scheduled.  A recording of the training may also be available for those who cannot attend.  We will send out an invitation to all district staff and those who respond before the training may receive some of the handout information beforehand in hard-copy format. 

This is NOT a sales presentation for any specific product but an engaging informational dialogue regarding 403(b) plans as a possible supplement to your overall retirement.
